It is a great Keyboard and does feel like Mechanical Keyboard, however it’s not. Wire length is enough
Only 3 RGB modes are available. But overall it’s a great Keyboard for Programmer, Games and for office users as well.

As an avid gamer on a budget, I recently acquired the HP K500F Backlit Membrane Wired Gaming Keyboard with Mixed Color Lighting, and I must say, it offers a decent gaming experience at an affordable price point.
Mixed Color Lighting:
The mixed color backlighting on the HP K500F is visually appealing and adds a touch of excitement to my gaming setup. While it doesn’t offer the full RGB spectrum, the preset color combinations are sufficient to create an immersive atmosphere during gaming sessions. The ability to adjust the brightness and toggle between lighting modes is a nice touch that allows some degree of customization.
Membrane Keys:
The keyboard features membrane keys, which might not provide the same tactile feedback as mechanical switches but are still fairly responsive for everyday gaming and typing tasks. The keypresses feel comfortable, and I experienced minimal input lag during my gaming sessions. The keystrokes are relatively quiet, making it suitable for shared spaces where loud typing noises could be disruptive.
Ergonomic Design:
The HP K500F comes with a moderately ergonomic design, featuring an elevated wrist rest that provides some comfort during extended gaming sessions. The overall build quality is acceptable, and the keyboard feels sturdy enough for regular use. However, it’s worth noting that the plastic construction may not be as durable as premium gaming keyboards.
Customizable Hotkeys:
The keyboard includes a set of customizable hotkeys, allowing users to quickly access media controls, volume adjustment, and other essential functions. These hotkeys are convenient for everyday tasks, and I found them particularly useful during media playback and browsing.
Wired Connection:
While some gamers may prefer wireless options for increased flexibility, the wired connection of the HP K500F ensures a stable and reliable connection during gaming, without worrying about battery life or connectivity interruptions.
Limited Gaming Features:
Despite its marketing as a gaming keyboard, the HP K500F lacks advanced gaming features commonly found in higher-end keyboards, such as dedicated macro keys or programmable profiles. While it is more than adequate for casual gaming, serious gamers may find it lacking in terms of customizable options.
Final Verdict:
All in all, the HP K500F Backlit Membrane Wired Gaming Keyboard with Mixed Color Lighting provides a satisfactory gaming experience for its price. With its visually appealing mixed color lighting, comfortable membrane keys, and basic customization options, it caters to budget-conscious gamers seeking a simple and reliable gaming peripheral. However, if you require more advanced gaming features or prefer mechanical switches, you might want to explore higher-tier keyboards.

The keys are not visible without RGB and the fonts are weird but does it job when using in this budget still better than most Chinese keyboards

I picked this up for the double injection mould, and not the fancy lighting. It’s too gujju bling for me but it’s a sturdy keyboard. Hasn’t come with any warranty or bill invoice etc. Which is a bit worring. But I trust hp products and hope it’ll bring me joy and comfort working.

I have been using this Keyboard daily for almost two years now. It just works. No dead keys, none key stuck. I have removed keycaps to wipe it down. Put them all back and works fine. The only issue is finishing of the product. Just under a year, coating on the edges started to wear off. There are many spots that looks like rusting on the metal panel. So keeps that in mind if you live in a humidity place. Overall it works fine. Feels good to type on. It’s a membrane board so don’t even think about comparing to mechanical keyboard.
