Belkin Magsafe Wireless Portable, Lightweight, Fast Charging pad 7.5W, Easy Magnetic Attach for iPhone 14/14 Plus, 14 Pro, Pro max, iPhone 13/13…

I purchased this product in June 2023. Using Belkin original20 W output socket for charging, The charging is way far too slow. It takes more than 8 hours to charge the Pixel 7a. The equipment and the phone gets too hot within 2 hours and out of 10 times usage of charging, I could reach 100% charging only on 2 occasions. Other 8 times, the indicator of Belkin charger’s indicator light became amber and stopped charging after around 10% increment in phone buttery,. The magnetic effect is too poor and I tested this with iPhone 12 the magnetic grip was not unto the mark. I expected more better performance from Belkin. Now I am convinced that Belkin too is a mediocre grade product. I would not recommend that this product.

This charger sits on my night stand. Used to use a basic qi charger. I guess in my sleep I would knock it off and in the morning it would not have charged at all. With a mag safe case, this one securely attaches and I have to mean it for it to come off.

Build Quality is good but magnet is not working properly and sometimes disconnect because of magnet issue

Much more value for money compared to the official Apple MagSafe charger. Good charging speeds with a proper 20W or more adapter. Definitely not as slim as Apple’s own alternative but the price difference justifies it. Especially appreciate the 6 ft. cable which also isn’t an option offered by Apple.

It’s an average product that charges at a max speed of 7.5W. I have iPhone 13 mini and didn’t find much difference in charging speed from this MagSafe wireless charger over Apple’s 5W wired charger. And the price is exorbitantly high at ₹2999 given it’s not even 15W that companies have now been able to offer these days. In fact, Belkin too offer a 15W MagSafe charger at almost the same price in the international market. Unfortunately it’s still not on offer in India. Maybe they’ll bring it later but I wanted now so purchased the less powerful model. I’d give an exception to Apple’s own 15W MagSafe charger that is ridiculously expensive and doesn’t make any sense. It’s just cashing it’s brand value. Nothing else.

The good part is that unlike Apple’s wired 5W charger, this does not forces the phone to juice up to full 100% with battery optimization turned on. It’d stop at 80% which is a good thing and is healthy for the battery life. And undoubtedly, it’s extremely convenient to use by simply sticking to the back of the phone. Viola. Sure, plugging method is not too much of a drama as well but magnetic method feels easy, much convenient and rugged without having to worry about damaging iPhone port accidentally or with prolonged usage.

The cable is 6 feet long and is quite thick one like all the Belkin PVC cables. Very convenient and feels reliable against Apple’s thing and short cable. Full marks to Belkin MagSafe charger for the above three pros.

My only gripe is extortionately high price tag, poor packaging and way too long delivery time. They took 7 days to deliver at my address given I live in a tier 1 city and the usual delivery time is two to max three days for any courier company. The seller is also no other than Amazon trusted Appario Retail. Zero marks for above three cons.
