We finally moved from a CRT TV to this after all these years and the difference is drastic! I booked it at ₹39,990 just few hours before the 55 inch UR7500 model went out of stock and didn’t came back yet as of 28th of October. The Amazon Pay ICICI Card gave 5% cashback of ₹1,974 further taking the price down.
It was delivered within 3 days of booking and the installation guy came on the 2nd day after delivery citing huge rush of workload which is understable during the festive sale period. The technician’s work was swift and clean. I took the official LG’s 2 years extended warranty from him and told him to book a magic remote for me since it’s no where to be found out there. LG doesn’t sell their remotes through 3rd party sellers, you have to get it from their service center itself. Since it is a 2023 model the spare remote the technician had didn’t register so he booked a new one on our behalf at ₹1,534. I got both the reciepts of the remote and extended warranty on my email so kudos to the transparency of the team. Got the remote after a week, the magic remote is a must, please get it, you don’t want to be stuck pressing buttons on the standard remote they give with the TV.

By adding the cost of extended warranty, soundbar, table and remote we could’ve got the LG QNED instead but we didn’t for a reason. Before booking this TV, I went to an actual LG store to see if the difference between standard backlit LED panel and Nanocell/QNED was as drastic or not, it isn’t, atleast I didn’t feel it. The contrast, colour depth and brightness is a just slightly better on Nanocell and a tad but more on Qned but it isn’t worth paying 55k and 80k for them because this is price range where OLED TV starts showing up like the 48 inch LG OLED. The difference between these IPS/VA panel TVs and OLED TVs is very noticeable and cant be compared. In a nutshell, if you want to be under budget just get a standard UHD LED TV, if you can stretch your budget then straight away go for OLED TVs and skip these middleware Nanocell/QNEDs, atleast from LG.

After confirming that I got an IPS panel instead of VA, I did all the calibration to make all the shortcomings of IPS presentable to my eye. This depends on each other’s personal taste but I was annoyed by the yellowish dull hue most of the modes had, after doing some research I got to know that the color warmth is set to Warm 50 at max to make the picture appear more natural. I selected standard mode to customize everything as per my taste, here’s my setup:
    1. I set the Color Temperature under White Balance up to “Warm 10” to get rid of the yellow hue.

    2. Had to amp up the contrast and panel brightness to 100, gamma to standard 2.4 to make dark areas appear a bit darker(standard 2.2 is also decent). Auto Dynamic contrast at high. Color Gamut at Native. Color Depth at 60.

    3. Sharpness at 10. Super Resolution, Noise Reduction, MPEG Noise Reduction and Smooth Gradation all at Low. Real Cinema will and should be on if True Motion is off, I like using TruMotion.

    4. Regarding TruMotion, it completely depends on your use case and taste. If you select Smooth Movement or set de-judder at max 10 from User-Selection, movements appear too smooth and start looking like a Soap Opera which we call the Soap Opera Effect, artifacts also becomes a bit noticeable. This is needed for high motion content like watching a cricket match but for that there’s already a dedicated mode called “Cricket”, rather use it while watching any sports related content.
I keep de-judder at 3 or sometimes move to 4 or 5 if movies appear too stuttery. If you don’t want to get confused just select Natural or Cinema Movement if it appears too smooth to you.
Keep testing and changing settings to tune it up to your taste. My mother who’s the primary user of this TV doesn’t understand all this but is very happy with it, I’m happy. Thanks LG!

There was delay in installation (took around 6 days after the delivery for installation). After some follow ups technician came and installation done within 1 hr and he explained about the functioning of TV in detail. Installation is free of cost. Picture quality looks fine and sound is very less from the TV speaker . WebOS supports limited apps, so I have to buy fire stick 4k. 3 year extended warranty is provided by LG amount ranges from 3000 to 12000 (including tax) based on packages.

I read and saw and analyzed lots of TVs in price range of 35k to 45k for 55 inch.
Right from Croma, TCL, MI, one plus, Acer, Hisense, VU, Samsung, Sony and LG.
No doubt most of the TVs were good no deal breakers in any model but there were few differences.
I cancelled buying Croma, TCL, One Plus, Acer, Hisense due to there reviews of after sales service.
Then cancelled Sony as it was going out of my budget for same specs from other brand. I agree sony would have given best possible picture quality.
Then VU GloLed was decent option that I was getting in 38k. With 2 cons. VA panel and other speech and dialogue clarity was not good.
But then confusion was that should i go for known and bigger brand Samsung which was having Crystal ismart at 46k. Again with 2 cons. One VA panel and second samsung did cost cutting by giving remote without and voice assistant support.
So 8k more for bigger brand.
Both the TV had VA panel. And I have bigger living room with dinning area and bigger L shaped Sofa. So I needed ideally IPS panel.
Lg UQ8020 was around 47k so that was third option and It was giving IPS panel. Which was plus point.
So confusion was among those 3.
Then I read that UQ8020 and UQ7500 are exactly same with same screen quality with 2 difference. One UQ7500 does not have magic remote and second bezzels were very slightly bigger than UQ8020.
And suddenly UQ7500 was at 38k. Amazon was giving 5000 coupon. Plus 3k card discount.
    That point I finalized UQ7500.
I was getting IPS panel with best color and picture quality. Superb sound clarity. In my 14 x 10 living room plus dining area we keep sound at max 30 and it was enough. With amazing speech clarity and even music clarity. Bigger brand with known after sales service atleast in my area Navi Mumbai. And at the lowest price as compared to other chinese brand.
Also i can purchase magic remote at 1500 which is compatible with this model. So sorted.
Only Con i feel is WebOS. Which I can change by attaching fire stick TV anytime if I feel so.

Super happy with the decision and the price point that I purchased.
