Neben der relativ schlechten Helligkeitsverteilung im Panel (dunkle Bereiche am Rand und in den Ecken – aber die wären tolerierbar) wurde der Monitor stets mit 3840×2160 erkannt (native Auflösung 3840×1600), Windows 11 mit installierten Treibern über HDMI und DP, am Macbook Pro 2018 unter Catalina via USB-C ebenfalls. Keine Chance, individuelle Einstellungen anzuwenden. Mein leider defekter LG 38WK95C-W wurde an beiden Systemen problemlos betrieben.

One of the very few 38 inch widescreen monitors available in India. Was a bit hesitant on the purchase since I had nothing to compare it with; other models on amazon were sold out and brick-and-mortar stores don’t sell monitors this size. Monitors of this resolution are quite expensive in general. However, I have not regretted the purchase.
Monitor Screen size is perfect for work and productivity; it is wide enough to be good alternative to keeping two monitors (use FancyZones from Windows PowerToys for easy screen management). Programming and reading large PDF files is enjoyable. Wire management is easy. Definitely a good purchase for work-related reasons. Price difference compared to 34-inch screens is worth it, but a lower price would’ve gone a long way in making 38-inch screens mainstream.
Good enough for movies also, since speaker is loud and good quality. I’m not a gamer/artist so not too focused on refresh rates and colour reproduction, they are good enough for me as-is. Bronze colour on base and speaker panel looks neat and blends well with surroundings.
Few things to note:
1. The electric plug coming with the monitor is too large; it is the size of plugs used by monitors and large appliances. I was able to get a normal-sized plug by emailing BenQ’s customer service; they were very prompt in replacing it for no charge. 5/5 for good service, but would’ve preferred normal-sized plug out of the box.
2. Screen wobbles a bit if you move it too much. Stand is also quite heavy.
