The design of the projector is absolutely brilliant. Where portability comes with great aesthetics and usability.
Project on walk or screen effortlessly. The autofocus n keystone work perfectly. Sound is amazing. Decent picture quality. I wish benq brings same design in 1080p coz 720p doesn’t look bad though, but on a bigger size we feel the need for 1080p but thats not a deal breaker for me.

J ai été tenté par ce projecteur principalement pour sa forme qui me permet de projeter au plafond et je ne suis pas déçue.
Points positifs :
-Sa forme ronde permet d ajuster facilement la projection, point intéressant on peut projeter avec une très bonne qualité en le posant directement sur le sol. – La projection trapézoïdale est très efficace ( même si elle a ses limites, mais il faut vraiment le mettre dans des positions compliquées pour qu elle n arrive pas à ajuster automatiquement )
– pour un entrée de gamme la qualité est super. Je regarde principalement des animés et je suis très satisfaite. Plus il fait noir, meilleur sera la qualité de projection. Mais un peu de lumière ( ex :porte entrouverte, petite guirlande lumineuse) n empêche pas pas la projection par contre en pleine lumière vous ne verrez rien. Je le mets sur ma tête de lit ou ma table basse ( ou par terre) et ca me convient
– grande surprise le son qui n à absolulent rien à envier à ma JBL. Le son est très clair même pour la musique
– se connecte facilement à la wi fi et connexion très stable
– télécommande qui fonctionne bien, y compris la commande vocale
points négatifs :
– Je le trouve le projecteur assez bruyant. Cela fait un bruit de fond constant qui j ai peur s aggrave avec le temps ( apres ce n est pas le bruit d un climatiseur non plus mais si vous le positionner sur la tête de lit comme moi ça peut eyre un poil gênant)
-pas de Netflix. Bien qu ayant accès à playstore on ne peut pas télécharger Netflix ( Mais il y a disney+ crunchyroll et autres ). Je serai obligé d acheter une fire tv stick adapté ( en attendant je le branche sur mon ordinateur via l entree hdmi)
Bref, première grosse dépense pour un projecteur. Je ne suis pas déçue il est assez léger à transporter la boîte de transport est très joli et le fait qu il soit totalement indépendant grâce à sa connexion wi fi wt son baffle intégré est très pratique. Rien a dire sur la qualite de l ecran projete.
Reste à voir si son bruit me genera beaucoup plus avec le remps

Battery died after using for one and half months. I’ve requested for service on 26th october and still waiting for battery replacement.
Edit: Battery was replaced by the service agent but still the problem was not solved. Projector is returned for replacement. Waiting for replacement to arrive since 26th November.
Edit 2: Received a replacement on 12th December.
So far it’s working fine.

Le meilleur son des vidéoprojecteur de cette gamme, profond, rond et puissant.
Design et finitions soignés. Image correcte même avec un peu de luminosité, qui semble bonne une fois que l’on est plongé dans le film ou émissions. On oublie facilement le manque de résolution car les couleurs sont belles et justes, le contraste et lumière sont satisfaisants et les noirs sont bons dans une pièce obscur. Les sous titres et écritures sont nettes. Le réglage , hélas n’est pas automatique en verticale, c’est vraiment le seul bémol et son socle aimanté qui est pratique devient un handicap pour ce réglage. . Mais une fois positionné, le mieux c’est en face de l’écran, ce vidéoprojecteur est un des meilleurs de sa catégorie rapport qualité prix.
Clé android très pratique, navigation fluide. Télécommande vocale efficace. Design sympa et mallette de qualité de transport. Que du bonheur

As promised, I am updating again. Helpline responded on working days. Nice response, immediately created RMA and checked nearest service centre and also gave number of the service engineer. They seems to have a network of all India service centres almost everywhere. Thats a great plus unlike fly by night brands.
However, I soon got a call from Delhi from one Senior Engineer looking after Service Dept and he arranged for pickup through Courier Service and requested if I am willing to send it thru them to Delhi where they would get it checked up. I said ok. Luckily someone was going to Delhi so they arranged to pick it up from Delhi. Also gave number of the service engineer who responded to calls and explained me the issue. They rectified, which seems to be a minor issue. They changed the Board and finally it was returned quickly with all items that was sent. So five star for All India Service support. Frankly I didn’t expect it to be so professional and fast. My other experience was with Western Digital which was equally good. So Five Star for service during warranty period. I can rest easy while using Projector thinking that Benq has my back.
As for Projector itself, its a 1080p FHD with 500 ANSI lumens. I find picture quality extremely good. Corner fit control is very intuitive to set right picture. Since it has its own battery backup, it works eevn when power goes off. I have plugged Firetv with USB drive for power. Seems pretty fine. No interruptions. works for two hours at least. Its own speaker sound quality is really nice. Don’t need any thing extra. Also being compact it is non intrusive and was also easy to send to Delhi and bring it back,.

The projector has failed to start. All efforts to reset or reboot has failed. Shot off email to BenQ service support. It’s all india help line works on Mon-Fri 0930-0600pm. Have to wait. I think there is some sensor or software glitch here. Thankfully upon warranty registration it shows two years warranty. So I could get it repaired but probably have to send it to service center. One seems to be two hours away so I will try that route. Till such time I am.downrating it to one star. Will update again.

Initial Review
It’s good portable projector with rugged construction. 500 ansi lumens is enough for dimly lit room but for better picture quality one needs dark room. Powered by Android 9 it asked for immediate update for OS.
Battery life is ok about 1.5 hrs and not 2.5 hrs as claimed(may be in low power mode).
Picture brightness is okayish. Details are visible as it is native 1080 FHD quality. But depends on network.
Earlier projector had problem of auto shutoff of LED lights showing no outcure for hours. Also picture seems less detailed. Asked for replacement. Got the replacement in time. The new piece has better picture quality than the previous one. Auto shutoff I tracked to its eye protection system for children. I put eye protection in off mode then this problem went away
It has limited ports . One hdmi one USB A and USB C ports. Audio out and dual Wifi and Bluetooth.
It can work as a bluetooth speaker as well.
Sound quality is very good and gives feel of cinema hall.
Lots of settings available both for sound and picture quality. HDR10 seems to improve picture quality. It takes 4K input and downscales to FHD.
The lens and sensor are protected by glass. Needs to clean with soft cloth.
It auto focuses. But there is no auto keystone. You need to do it manually. I mostly use corner fit.
It comes with Android stick which needs to be inserted in a hidden/ covered slot on the top.
Except Netflix all other apps are available from Google Play Store. I use firetv stick in the lone hdmi slot and works fine. USB port is taken by firestick as well to power it. But it complained that power is not adequate though it works.
I got a motorised onlight screen. On it picture quality seems to improve. Also tried ALR screen. That’s no good.
Connected to wifi it works like a charm. Easy to connect and stays connected. No frequent drops.
Remote is good except that it does.not feature backlit remote for in night you have to feel your way around remote. Power adapter seems rugged and when charging the power button on the projector shows red light and green when fully charged.
There is a handle so one can cary it around. I have not done drop test. Hope it’s lives upto it. Benq is a good brand so I took it when there was no review. I see one single star review
That shutoff proble is easily sorted with eye protection in off mode. Not sure how it would compare with xgimi elfin which is in the same price range and more compact but with higher about 800 ansi lumens.
Benq GS50.model is made in China so one star less. I thought it would have a factory in India or other Asean countries.
Overall I would give it above 4 but below five star so 4.5.

Overall great product, portable too… Nothing much required for setup, very easy setup, inbuilt sound system is awesome, though it’s HD only, feels like FHD, great product in this price range, must buy product, children will enjoy a lot. Will give more updates after one week

4. Average battery life
5. Awesome speakers
6. Good carry care
7. Charging brick is light weight
8. Swivel design is really handy, you can project on floor as well as on the ceiling
9. The lens is well Protected
10. All in one package
Cons:
1. Letters look grainy as it is only 720p
2. Bulky (as it has a 2.1)
3. Not able to access pen drive from within android T V ( accessible only as USB input)
4. Airplay hangs sometimes
Final thoughts
if it were a 1080p projector, it would be a hot cake. But its not!

Je voulais avoir un petit projo, assez correct niveaux image dommage que le 1080p n’ai de base. l’installation est simple et facile. Mais même pour un petit projo c’est ok juste attention pour les personnes plus exigeante, la couleur est ok voir assez coloré dans le noir et même avec de la lumière le projo donne une image visible, le son est assez correct vu la taille. Je suis content de l’avoir acheter et recommande, allez regarder la video de PPJ “PPwold BenQ GV30” pour avoir un autre avis d’un pro
