Amazing lens. You can consider this equivalent to multiple prime lenses within this zoom range. I sold my prime lenses and this is now my all purpose lens. If you have the budget go for it.

Bin sehr glücklich mit dieser Linse… es ist mein neues Go-To-Objektiv für alles, was draußen stattfindet. Wird es Abends sehr dunkel so kommt natürlich auch ein so tolles Ding bei f2.8 an seine Schärfegrenzen, wenn man Bewegtes einfangen will.
Der hohe Preis hat mich lange überlegen lassen, aber wenn man die Linse immer drauf hat, wird es sich irgendwann rentieren. Kein langes mitnehmen und herumschrauben von Prime Lenses mehr. Andere sagen, das günstigere Zooms ähnlich gut sind, da hab ich leider nicht viel Vergleichs-Erfahrung.
Die verschiedenen Komponenten an der Linse sind sehr gut durchdacht. Nur das Nötigste, aber nicht weniger. Bei Zeiss Batis zum Beispiel brauche ich selbst meist kein Display auf der Linse, sowas fehlt hier dann auch. Dafür aber ist hier ein gut erreichbarer Manual-Fokus-Switch, und eine Umstellung des Zoom-Drehs von schwer zu flüssig. Dreht man es auf Tight, rutscht die Linse beim lockeren tragen nicht raus, und trotzdem lässt sich mal eben zwischendurch schnell ranzoomen; besser als ein kompletter Feststellknopf!
Das Gewicht hier ist auch super. Trage sie den ganzen Tag am Gurt und kann keine Ermüdung oder Balance-Probleme feststellen. Ich hatte das Vorgängermodell GM1 nur kurz zum ausleihen, und es war doch einige Gramm schwerer.
Fazit: Wenn Ihr den Preis verschmerzen könnt, kaufen, ansonsten vielleicht die Preisentwicklung abwarten oder nacht Gebrauchtlinse Ausschau halten! Viel Glück!

I did own the original Gmaster, not bad but not great and was more like a prototype. Now owning the Mark 2, this is what the original should have been. Lighter, sharper and better focus. A new standard for 24-70s. This will sure be used a lot for work, events and holidays.
