Within the first 30 minutes of use I noticed that the laptop would spike up to 95C every now and then for no reason, even when sitting idle or the lightest of works like opening excel etc. And when I ran a benchmark such as Cinebench R23, the overheating became apparent – a few cores spike up to 95+ C (couple of E cores hit 99C, at the same time many of the P cores were like 72C, refer attached pic) and this caused overheating, thus slowing down performance to prevent damage.
The overheating was so much that this 3.6 lakh laptop is performing slower than even a sub 1.5 lakh legion which has an inferior i7 12700H cpu (18625 points on 14 core i7) with 2 less cores than this i9 12950hx (16990 points on this 16 core i9, refer pic attached) and Legion has normal thermal paste, without any fancy Vapor Chamber.
If there is such a big variation in temperatures between the cores, it indicates liquid metal is not applied properly. Doesn’t matter if Asus throw everything on paper like liquid metal ‘extreme’, Vapor Chamber – if you don’t apply liquid metal properly, or Vapor Chamber doesn’t make good contact with cpu, there’s no use. Quality Control is really bad with Asus. Same thing happened with my friend too who bought a Scar 15 2022. Returned it rightfully to where it belongs, but it took way too much time for refund due to delays from Amazon.

Very happy to make this choice. Very powerful processor. Incredible cooling system. Fantastic processor. I am using it for my cybersecurity work and gaming and both my requirement are being done seamlessly. There is no inbuilt camera but Asus makes up to that by providing a 1080p @60fps webcam which does a fabulous job. The bag they provide is waterproof so nothing to worry about. A bit on the heavier side its like 4kg with the ac adapter but its worth it .It completely value for money and a lifetime device.

This laptop is highly recommended for Music Production and DJing, VFX , content creations
It’s i9-12950HX processor left M1 Max and M2 max
Behind in Benchmarking so I will recommend this beast to those who are serious about there work like content Creation or Music Production

This laptop is a powerhouse, top of the line specs in the market right now! Razer, Alienware and MSI have similar range specs but with a few features/specs different, and costing 1-2 Lakhs more. You cannot get more value for product than with this model.
32GB RAM, 16GB VRAM 3080Ti, i9 12th Gen 12950HX Processor, 2TB SSD Storage, 17 inch – 1440p/2K display with 240hz refresh rate. Honestly, the RAM and VRAM are overkill, and this is the latest 12th Gen Intel Processor variant available, the CPU also has 16 Core/24 Threads compared to 14 Core/20 Threads of other models. It also comes with 1yr McAfee, 1 Month XBox GamePass and an MS Office subscription. These specs are all you need for your gaming/work purposes, it can easily play any game in the market at max settings, and should be future-proof for at least 5 years. Also included in the box are, a 1080p 60fps webcam, an awesome wired headset with mic, a standard wired mouse, and a cool looking laptop bag.
If your budget is around 3L, buy this one without hesitation. At this price, it offers more value and better specs than similarly priced models from Razer, MSI, Alienware and other brands.
PS:-
Concerning the negative from Piyush, who hasn’t even bought the laptop. He is completely wrong about the specs and the apparent value of it. Please ignore similar baseless reviews from people who haven’t actually purchased the relevant products.
About the negative review about the overheating from Suman. Now this is also incorrect, at least for me. The laptop does tend to peak around 90’C for a bit when running intensive tasks, but this is in the acceptable range for the hungry i9 12th Gen processor. My laptop never had any heating issues on initial boot-up, when sitting idle, or in daily usage, it normally runs around 60-80’C range. You have to fiddle around with the settings and performance modes to optimise your system, use a good cooling pad, and lower the ambient temperature if possible. Gaming Laptops tend to run hotter, and the advised ambient temperature for this model is below 35’C. If the high CPU temp bothers you, you may want to look into CPU undervolting.

Your review was really wrong saying that the ram is 16gb ur wrong about that the ram is freaking 32gb ddr5 4800mhz which is the flagship ram and 32gb ram is really enough for atleast 6 years considering its ddr5 its like got 10 years in it
The gpu got 16gb vram not the ram got 16gb and 16gb vram is already overkill for 4k or even 8k resolution right now even 8gb is enough for 4k resolution in maxed out settings and ur asus tuf got 16gb 3200mhz ram which cost 6k inr(the ram) and this laptop ram would cost 24k which is triple the price considering the cheapest 4800mhz ddr5 ram is 6k
And the thing u mentioned that 2tb isnt enough yes ur right it got 2tb ssd but its enough Even if a games consumes 100Gb+ storage nobody would download this heavy games in the quantity of 20 that consumes 100+GB i they even do they would delete it later to download different games we wont call it adjust still cuz 20 this heavy games no one will download like this
and u can always upgrade the ssd when needed upto 6tb by installing 2×2 tb gen 4 ssd at like 12k price each 2tb
Sorry but i saw in many flagship laptop review i had to point your mistake of spreading misinformation

Do not buy it, it isn’t worth 4 lakh rupees. That’s some serious hard earned money, for a lot of people that’s equal to 2 years of salary. Asus is giving 16 gb ram in a 4 lakh laptop. That’s very less. They could used 64 gb motherboard and easily given 64gb ram and still make profit. Also 2tb ssd is looking fancy but it’s not. That will only make 4 partition of 500 gb that’s very less considering today’s generation pc games are over 100+ gb in size. Rtx 3080 ti is fine that’s the only sensible thing in this laptop. I own a Tuf A17 and it has 16gb ram and i got it for 65k so now you can understand you aren’t getting good specs or much difference besides paying a lot.
