This thing is fast. I’m seeing sustained reads of 391 MB/s (rated 395) for a 9.4 GB write test consisting of large ISO files and sustained writes of 147 MB/s (with peaks around 172 MB/s–rated 180) for the same test files. The writes are faster than the reads on many cheap USB drives. Something on my Win 11 Pro Laptop was causing a long bog-down at some point between half way to 3/4 through the read test so I needed to finish the test on Liunx which showed the true read performance. It’s probably something unique to my laptop.
I wish there was some kind of dust cap for the USB end.

You have seen 240mb write speed 400 mb read speed but this is not for 64 or 128gb varient pendrives this is for only 256gb varient… I bought 64gb so on my product they mentioned 100mb write speed and 395mb read speed and I researched on it and found that 128gb varient also 395mb read speed and 180mb write speed.. so on my laptop i5 6th gen old but i added a sata ssd Samsung 860 evo 500gb so ssd to my 64gb pendrive file trasfaring highest 95mbps write speed normally 60-85mbps Most of the time arround 80 and pendrive to my ssd 250-380mbps read speed most of the time arround upto 300… pendrive speed good enough but mentioned speed Wrongly marketing strategy.. i bought it 1600 soo I don’t regards because on this price it’s very good quality Product

This is the worst performing USB drive I have ever seen. It does reach its claimed speeds but only in sequential read and write and that too some times only. In the attached image of its performance you can see that its random write has speeds in kB/s. Thus in real life, it performs even worse than a USB 2.0 drive. In the attached video, notice that I only copied 200 files of about 62MB and still it took more than 2:30 minutes, this is a net speed of less than 0.4MB/s. In my daily use, I’ve seen it to pause for a while even when opening folders. Even while deleting files, it takes a lot of time.
Before buying I felt confident because it was SanDisk and I already own some of their product. But this was such a disappointment from SanDisk. So when I first observed ridiculously low speeds, I thought something else might be wrong but when I seriously tested it on different PC, laptop and OS, I realized that its performance is actually terrible. However, by the time I realized it was too late to return it.
I had bought a 256GB version and it is a completely useless product for me now. At such a high price of ~5000 INR, I would have been better with a portable ssd instead. I totally regret buying this and won’t be buying anything from SanDisk until I see some positive response from them. And if they really care about their brand names they must recall all the usb drives they sold of this model.

I bought 256gb varient for 4.6k but if u can get this around 4.2k it would be great.
Speed is good, i used it in USB 3.2 gen 2 so speed was pretty high around 260-270MB/s there are speed drops but not much.
Design is good I thaught i have to put my finger at back to put it in the port but it’s not the case it’s really sturdy and it don’t get much hot like other metel pendrives.
It cames with life time warranty and u get 1 year accidental delete data recovery, i dint know much about it, haven’t tried it u have to install a software for that.
And yes thats all over all the products is great.

After owning Sony 64GB USB drive for last 5 years, buying this 256 GB version with improved read/write speeds is a no brainer.
Tested on PC as well as on Laptop on USB 3.2 gen1 port(5Gbps).
almost reached the rated speed in writes whereas in reads there is a different story,
but overall I’m happy with this purchase.
NOTE: I’m using M.2 GEN3 SSD from XPG & WD RED SATA3 For HDD.
