Needed added storage for my new Microsoft Surface 9 Pro. Microsoft makes this relatively straight forward. The original software was easier to move using Casper software. Copied the original drive to the new drive and simply changed them out in the Surface via the available door on the back of the tablet. I have done a lot of these that were much more difficult mechanically. I then used disk management to spit the drive up in to a couple of partitions which is how I have been working for about 30 years. So far, the access is very fast, so I am very pleased.

My Surface Pro 9 came with just 256 GB storage so I bought this 2 TB drive. I got an external enclosure, installed this drive into the enclosure and cloned my existing drive onto this through USB-C. I then removed the drive from the enclosure and installed it into my Surface Pro. Note, that if you have a Surface Pro 9, you need a very small Torx driver, T3, that is usually NOT included in most screw driver bit sets. It’s not really a point for this item, but just a remark for anyone wanting to use this in a Surface
It has worked great and seems to have great transfer rates.

I bought the 64 gig steam deck with the express intent on adding this drive to it. Works great fit well and the price was so nice. Highly recommend this drive if you want to upgrade the steam deck.
