After the first day the drive overheated and wiped the boot sector. Returned immediately.

I bought this very expensive Gen5 M.2 with the desire to run bleeding edge storage to power my new gaming rig. This M.2 drive constantly overheats and shuts everything down. This is just with normal operation and gaming. I have very good cooling in the case. I am opening an RMA with Crucial and will be replacing it with a Samsung 990 Pro w/heatsink.

I was looking forward to installing this M2 Drive, but unfortunately, the heat sink on it was too high and clashed with the installed Video Card. On my side, I also discovered that my Motherboard is only PCIe 5 enabled on the PCIe slots and not the M2 drive slots, so PCIe 5 enable M2 drive was no advantage. The upside is that the return process was very easy, and much easier to do than with other online sellers. Thanks Amazon.
