The package arrived well packed, with bubble wrap protection to avoid damage. So far so good.
But when I opened the package I noticed that the original box seal had been cracked open already. The device inside was covered in paper lint but was intact and looks unused, with no scratches or fingerprints or any other signs of use anywhere. The box was held together by a rubber band instead of the original paper seal, which, as I said, had already been opened. There is some number inside which I haven’t been able to decipher the meaning of yet.
I loaded my software on it and it looks and acts like the genuine device. Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 8 GB RAM. So I am assuming it is the genuine device. So far been running good.
But its arrival within an already cracked seal and opened box makes it suspicious to me so I am taking one star off. Another star off for so much of a higher price because these sellers are exploiting the official resellers’ lack of stocks for almost the third year now to pump up their own prices. With these prices you would expect to receive a mint condition device within its own sealed box.

This was an amazing SBC so I feel fortunate to have been able to purchase it while it was a thing. I got it at an amazing deal of ~7000 INR (about $50) and it has been running amazing so far with the cooling setup (fan + heat sink). I’ve put it through a lot already and have planned much more ahead! It’s going certainly well running all sorts of things ranging from whole enterprise level OSs and also running some lightweight training sessions for some silly machine learning models! It does what its built for really well. Hope things settle down and the RPi foundation can get back on track soon!

Nice to have RaspberryPi but due to scarcity, the price is high. Idk whether its new or used (it’s my 1st R’Pi). It sure works fine.
