Francesco B. –
-Esteticamente fantastiche;
– qualità costruttiva non al top, sistemandole sulla testa si avvertono scricchiolii della plastica non proprio incoraggianti, sì plastica (ironico visto il nome steelseries), avete letto bene, solo l’arco è in acciaio e la bielletta in lega leggera, i padiglioni e i connettori fra arco e bielletta sono in plastica che, come sopra detto, scricchiolano indossando le cuffie. Qualche apprensione sulla longevità a riguardo;
– comfort: io porto una S di casco ma queste cuffie sono al limite della vestibilità, ho dovuto allentare il più possibile l’elastico per ottenere una buona vestibilità e comfort, preoccupazioni condivise anche dalle altre persone che le hanno provate. Faccio fatica a immaginare una persona con una testa un po’ più grande (anche di medie dimensioni) ad indossarle in modo confortevole;
– sull’ audio mi sono già dilungato, non salverei nulla di queste cuffie che, se messe alla frusta, sono terribili. Per brani più semplici invece le impressioni sono più positive ma senza toccare picchi di eccellenza;
– surround: è virtuale quindi non vanno necessariamente meglio di altre cuffie usando dolby atmos, DTS X o windows sonic (e le ho provate tutte, compresa la modalità stereo!);
– posizionamento infelice della rotella del volume sul padiglione, è praticamente impossibile indossare le cuffie senza girare la rotella per sbaglio durante il processo;
– se pensate di usare e il DAC e giocare dal divano scoprirete che i cavi sono un po’ corti;
– mancanza di una custodia o sacca per riporre le cuffie, DAVVERO?! e questo sarebbe un prodotto premium ad un prezzo premium…;
– contrariamente a quello che ho letto in alcune recensioni, non ho mai sentito la necessità di maggiore potenza sonora e un volume più alto;
Conclusione (finalmente):

Amazon Customer –
Absolutely great sound quality, but the build quality is just plastic, even the earpads came off after a couple of years.
Buyer –
Firstly, I have wanted a pair of arctis pros for about 2 years, so you can imagine I really wanted to like these. I bought this headset to use on my pc for some gaming, also for movies, music, but also for my ps5. This is my main gaming platform.
Using the headset on the pc was excellent. Sound is crisp and clear, and can be edited to your liking. This goes for music and movies too. The high Def sound quality is very nice too. The outside noise however, is really apparent whilst using these. I can hear birds chirping outside, and my window is slightly open, so it’s not the best for blocking out any background noise. This isn’t something that would bother me much though, so I can live with this.
When it came to using the headset and gamedac on the ps5, firstly, using the ps5 via USB only mode worked fine. I could not get used to the 3d tempest audio though, but I suppose that is subjective and not something I could blame on a specific headset. Again, so far, nothing I would consider a deal breaker.
Using the ps5 via an optical solution is my preferred choice, as I have used DTS:X headphones since my first set so I have got used to the sound. The DTS:X sounded great, but nothing I would say differs from other brands offering a similar sound setting. Again, that is subjective. The quality of the sound is amazing in all games. Probably the best I have experienced to date for a gaming headset. However when trying to create an FPS style equaliser setting, where you would try and enhance the footsteps, reloads, loot boxes and alike, you are able to enhance the frequencies made by these sounds, however they become too loud to bear and actually hurt my ears, so I have to reduce the volume, which doesn’t really work for me as other sounds become too quite to hear. A dynamic range compressor would fix this issue, however for some reason SteelSeries do not offer this solution on their flagship model, but I believe they offer this on a couple of models like the 7p. I have been through countless forums and it appears users who have raised this with SteelSeries have been advised it’s not likely to come to the acrtis pro gamedac via an update.
The final flaw and deal breaker for me was that the equaliser settings also affects my friend’s chat voices. So when I change the values on the equaliser, not only is the game sound is affected (as you would expect), but also your friends’ voices are affected, which means those frequencies in the game that you’re trying to enhance through the equaliser, is also enhancing the same frequencies in the chat voices too, which is counter productive to what I needed the equaliser to do.
Mostly I play online with friends, so chat is also a big factor I need to take into consideration when buying a headset. I don’t play much single player games anymore so for my use case, this headset isn’t for me. There are other headsets which are able to change the game sound eq and not affect the chat voices as a result, as well as offer some sound compression, and these little issues bothered me too much, so I have returned the headset to buy a different one.
The subtle flaws I have experienced were not something I have seen on any review, which is why I have taken some time to write down my experience, so it may be something which someone else may also find a deal breaker in a gaming headset, but won’t know until they have it their hands and are try using it on a ps5.
Overall though a fantastic headset, but just not for me.

These are one of the best headphone I havw ever used and it also has a ton of features.
Audio quality is really good with gamedac.
Mic is also good but I wouldnt say its the best.
The head band is a little bit tight at first but after adjusting it and using it for a couple of days it becomes comfortable.
Overall a really nice product for 16,599 with gamedac

Been using this for over a month, what I really liked was the stock flat sound profile, ideal for gaming and by using the included GameDAC, the sound profile can be tweaked for your ideal listening scenarios like watching movies, listening to music/Podcasts. The microphone is excellent, with adequate background noise cancellation and phenomenal quality comparable to standalone microphones. The only drawbacks are the lack of USB-C ports, proprietary cable for the headphone and the short length of the headphone cable(around 1.5m), preventing me from running the cable underneath the table. An additional benefit of this is that I’m able to use the GameDAC like an audio controller enabling me to switch between my Pc and PS4(Optical cable) and my Arctic Pros and Speakers
Definitely a must buy from my end!!

Over all a brilliant quality headset. Good materials used very comfortable to wear and sounds amazing. The software steel series engine is great and easy to use and i have had no trouble with it so far.
Some minor things come to mind when i think of other people wearing this, is the size.
If you have a very large head i could see you having some trouble as the headset does not have adjustable sides like most, instead there is this tension strap that can be adjusted slightly for different user’s although not as much as a sliding sides are able to.
Perfect for my needs and i would recommend to anyone

Bought it november 2021.
So review I made today, and here are main things that I like and dislike.
Hope someone who are searching for gaming headset will found it helpful.
Build quality. Headset is made of plastic, like most of gaming accessories.
Plastic looks good and doesn’t collect fingerprints, so they look great after some time, and doesn’t require cleaning.
But, If you don’t have safe spot where you place them, like I do. You will drop them from time to time, because of wire. And there is problem, plastic where cups are connected is very fragile. So I have a crack, and now I’m very careful, because if it go bigger, cup will just fall off. Also now that there is crack, sometimes when you want to turn or adjust cup placement, they stuck/make crackling sound. Also you can brake them more.
But that’s fine if you use them careful and don’t drop them like I do.
About sound quality, there are lot of tests around , so no point to act like expert. I like virtual surround, had Arctis 5 and before them Logitech G35 (yes history) and I love this virtual surround. If you dont love it, than better choose different headset. Volume is more than enough. Also have bass if you want to listen some EDM etc.
About Gamedac.
When I had Arctis 5 I fell in love with chatmix , because you can lower volume for your fiends “rage session” while watch some videos. Or just turn down game volume if some of your mates have a bad mic.
So at beggining I was very happy with ease of use, and options of this GAME DAC.
But big minus – OLED. You can play with Steelseries engine , and change things your oled screen displays, but mostly I had default layout, with chatmix.
And it got BURNT in. In about 11 months. Yes, it now looks not so representable, but do all its jobs.
This is thing I didnt realise, that this kind of OLED screens like Game DAC, some GPUs, AIO fans, motherboards, burns in very fast.
Yes, you can change in settings idle time, when screen without activity turns off. But steelseries engine after some updates did “great” job, and screen is always on. Tried everything, and got tired of it.
And yes if you change picture or layout few times in month, maybe you wouldn’t have any problem. But people like me, likes to play around first few weeks, and than you just use item. This was my lesson, and now Im sure I wont be buying anything with Oled just for visuals.
Conclusions: I just wrote about my main minuses, and pluses. Because detailed reviews is all around.
I can say, still with those minuses, I like this headset, and maybe next time when those die. I’ll try wireless version, because of wire and my clumsiness.
