For about 90% folks out there it’s the greatest budget and comfortable mouse out there.
Sadly I belong to the remaining 10%. I am left-handed and this mouse didn’t quite click with that, pun intended. It feels great if you hold it in your right hand, there’s a groove to play your right thumb, but it’s damn awkward with the left. It should have been a vertical mouse because only then you can hold it with some level of comfort with the left. What’s the deal Logi? Afraid to make left handed versions of your premium mouse? Even the ergonomic versions are catered for the right handed. I get it, it’s the majority of your target audience but we should get atleast one lousy product for the lefties.

I’m writing this review after more than 4 Years of using it. I used this mouse for 2 years as a student and now for 2 years as a software professional where I use it for more than 12 hours a day.
I haven’t faced any connectivity issues yet.
Only now after 4 years, I’m getting issues with the clicks, sometimes it double clicks or doesn’t click at all.
It is definitely worth buying.
A quality product
1000Rs for usage of more than 12Hrs a day for 4 Years is worth every penny.

Battery gets discharge fast. Cursor stops and does not move even after changing battery.

It’s a good product but the plastic type material isn’t comparable with the budget and the noise of clicking….

I have been on a hunting spree for wireless mice of late. With this latest addition, number of rodents at my workstation is now 4 ; ranging from an entry level Logitech M185 to the premium Razer Ouroboros. It all began when I grew frustrated of clumsy tracking of Logitech M310 which is a part of MK 520 combo. The entire ordeal of mice hunting has also imparted new wisdom about mouse acceleration on Windows – stay tuned. You will love the end results should you decide to go this route.
I grew excited about what I was able to achieve with my M185 purchased barely couple of days before I ordered M275. M275 has a relatively newer sensor and a more efficient circuit judging by the claim of 18 months or so of battery life. The latter isn’t of significant interest to me since I use rechargeable NiMH cells.
Let’s get to the product experience first. Somehow I liked this over M280 though they are similarly spec’ed. The mouse isn’t too large, nor is it tiny. For a right handed person, it is delightful to hold the mouse. The matte finish really imparts a premium feel like Ouroboros. Surprisingly it is not at all heavy. In fact with the supplied GP alkaline cell it is lighter than an M185 with an Eneloop cell! The buttons are somewhat mushy and lack the tactile feedback of Ouroboros or even M185. Scroll wheel is … well good for the price.
Large surface area of pads ensures the mouse glides smoothly if used on a quality or even a half decent mouse pad. I actually recommend using laser mice with dark (preferably black) colour mouse pads as it prevents abrasion of pads. That I learnt from my past experience with M310. Having used it on my wooden desk for years, I feel a terrible scratchy drag while using. Not repeating the same mistake with any of my new mice. I also observed laser mice work best on NON-GLOSSY BLACK surface. Tracking is absolutely terrible on white paper despite the claim by manufacturers that they work on all surfaces. Same weakness on glossy surface. The point is – the surface should have some coarseness and should reflect but not diffuse light for the laser sensor to work reliably. On such a surface, tracking is absolutely spot on. For best experience however, you need to calibrate mouse acceleration in your OS.
Current draw in idle condition at about 2 meters from receiver is 3 mA. When tracking, current draw is 9 ~ 13 mA. Impressive on both accounts. Add to it the fact the mouse enters power save mode after about 4 minutes of staying idle. An average alkaline cell should last at least a year even if the switch is kept ON at all times. BTW, try not using that sliding switch often as it gets flimsy after a while and results in mouse turning off even in ON postition – as it happened with my M310. I ended up removing the switch altogether and soldered the contacts permanently.
The mouse came with Nano receiver. Pairing was easy with Logitech Connect Utility. Also worked fine with MK 520 Unifying receiver. Relevant software needs to be downloaded from Logitech support page.
I would not recommend installing SetPoint Utility for two reasons:
1. M275 is not a gaming mouse or has programmable buttons. Just those mundane 3 buttons with scroll wheel. Neither can we change DPI or USB Polling rate which are fixed at 1000 dpi and 125 Hz respectively.
2. Logitech mouse acceleration is pathetic: as you make faster movement, tracking is completely uncontrolled. Using Windows Enhanced Pointer Precision (that makes use of 4 inflection points) is much better. Still not the best as this method of acceleration does not take into account the screen resolution. Also this algorithm was written during Windows XP age when full HD displays and 1000 dpi laser mice were rare.
Which finally brings us to discussion of how to get best possible tracking for your M275 or any mouse for that matter. It’s actually quite simple; use the excellent yet free driver and tool combo at […]. Latest build is at […] as of this writing. Confirmed working on Windows 10.
Install the driver, re-boot your PC, disable Enhanced Pointer Precision, keep sensitivity at default half-way, set your polling rate at 125 Hz, set your DPI and you should be good to go. Setting DPI is tricky despite knowing sensor DPI of M275 is 1000. At 1000, cursor movement is very slow and you will end up with calloused wrist. An analogy is like having 4K resolution on 15 inch display. At native resolution, icons will be tiny and fonts barely readable. So, we scale the display DPI to about 150 or even 200% and icons look the right size and fonts are rendered smooth. Same is applied here. After days of experimenting, I settled at 400 DPI for M275/M185. I have illustrated other settings here in attached image which work really well for home and office use. Tracking is very responsive now. Hope it serves your purpose too. But feel free to use your own values to derive your own acceleration curve, specially if you are in to FPS gaming. Just try keeping that acceleration slope linear. That said be warned – this is NOT A GAMING MOUSE.

No me ha gustado nada, es de muy mala calidad e impreciso. Funcionó bien 2 meses. Los tres puntos de ajuste que tiene se han ido degradando y no hay quien lo utilice; he vuelto al antiguo.

This is slightly expensive product but veey reliable. Have used it for last 4 years and it is really good, bought new one for another setup.
