My old office table is covered with holes like the desk in a classroom in boarding school. This was the easiest way out for me as I don’t see my office spending any money on fixing it. It doesn’t cover my full desk, but at least fits its width with a half inch left on both sides.
I have a wooden laptop stand on it on which I place my workhorse the Dell Latitude 7480. I was a bit worried reading the reviews, that there would be marks left by the laptop on the table, but it turned out to be untrue. (I use a wireless keyboard and mouse though) I haven’t tried writing on it, but the mouse seems to move fine (tried it just for this review).
I’m not a big fan of synthetic stuff and prefer real leather, wood and other natural materials but this fulfils my need to make my office table look better no need to look at the holes and the flaked off paint any more.
Unrolling the mat was a bit of an effort and still there is some curling at the ends in spite of placing heavy books on them for a few days. Here in Himachal things do get stiff in the winter and we usually place wires and plastic pipes in the sunlight before using them. I’m okay with the slight curl at the edges, I’ll wait for summer.

Big enough to accommodate 2 of my laptops and a mouse. The yellow side is smoother so if you keep the mat facing yellow side down it slides around a bit. I really like the blue side up so this is a bit annoying to deal with. Would have been nice if there were 2 variants with the same colours so I could use the blue side up and have the yellow side to be textured and on the table. Oh well. The edges are not very clean and you can see some small amounts of fraying. I think 799 is a bit overpriced for this, it works well enough though
