I have been constantly getting “Android Auto Disconnected” error with my Kia Seltos. After visiting service center, they demoed with their cable that it works fine, i.e. no issue with the car or Android Auto unit, dash rather cable is faulty. After trying multiple cables with no success, finally stumbled upon this one! Works smoothly. Ordered one more just as a backup!
