I’m not a microphone expert, but this is definitely better than most of those I’ve used in the past. It’s solid and substantial, with a steady little tripod. This has rubber feet to help isolate it from the table or whatever.

The microphone itself is suspended on rubber bands within the outer housing. It can be slid backward and forward a little to adjust the distance between mike and filter, The ‘pop filter’, something I’d never heard of before, definitely works. I tried it both with and without.

I can use it with the volume setting on the computer at 50%, as recommended, and the microphone about eighteen inches away and get perfectly good recordings, using it for both spoken poetry and storytelling.

The supplied cable is long enough for my needs.

Little warning: I initially thought it was a dud because the socket at the back of the mike is a tight fit. I didn’t realise that the plug wasn’t fully home. When I checked and tried again it went home with a very definite click and everything worked just fine.

For now it does everything I need and seems excellent value for money.

This is my first USB mic. It captures decent loudness of my voice from 20cm, when I keep it close to my mouth it sounds super clear. I recommend keeping 10cm distance from the mic and talk into it. Other than that, it is quite budget friendly. Setting it up was easy as I am using the tripod setup. The shock mount considerably reduces the vibrations from desk while I type on my keyboard. I am not using its pop filter now, but it is very useful if you are a musician. Overall, 5/5 for this mic.

After reading so much positive reviews about this mic I decided to take the plunge given it is so cheap. Here is my 8 months in review.

Is it amazing? No. Is it absolutely terrible? Neither. It’s somewhere in between. For streaming and podcasting it probably is perfect. For recording music… Not so much. Considering the price, the sound is decent enough on spoken word. So if you’re looking for a very cheap first mic to do meetings or streaming then this might well be the perfect fit. For more advanced tasks like recording vocals and instruments then I’d steer clear and probably invest a bit more money.

I specifically bought it for music and recording demos on the go on my iPad when I don’t have access to my studio desktop. Since I already own two studio mics I could easily compare it to the sound of my SM58. It does actually work great with the iPad without any power supply, so that could make it great for podcasting on the go. But after nearly a year of trying to integrate it in my own workflow I have to say it just didn’t cut it. The mic has to two major dealbreakers for me. 1 is that if the mic gain is anything above 60% it is horribly saturated and peaky… Which just so happens is its default setting. And even then, when putting the gain much lower the mic somehow still clips and saturates the incoming audio when you’re up close. Even whispering close enough to the mic can trigger some distortion. This is really bad for close micing vocals, which considering the price range of this mic would be a typical use in untreated bedroom studios. 2 is that the sound is lacking a LOT of low end and mids, which can make it great for certain voices and spoken word maybe, but unusable in my case. Especially on acoustic guitars, this mic sounds tinny and harsh. Shame.

Of course I didn’t expect it to stand up to the SM58 at this price, but it honestly just doesn’t even come anywhere close, let alone compared to higher budget mics, whether USB or XLR.

All that being said, for online meetings and streaming this definitely would be a step up from your in built phone or laptop mic if you’re on a very small budget. If you have an extra £30 to £60 to spare though I’d recommend looking into slightly more expensive mics.

I’m glad I picked the TC30 USB microphone for my gaming channel. The plug-and-play USB 2.0 feature without additional drivers is fantastic. It cancels a certain amount of background noise but still make sure your room has lowest possible noise. Setting up was simple, attaching the pop filter to the tripod was quick. Shock mount reduced a certain amount of table vibration while I was typing on the keyboard. If you want the best voice clarity out of it, make sure you speak with a 15cm – 20cm distance from the mic.
I don’t have any complains. At this price point you cannot get anything better than this mic.

Today this product got delivered. Packaging was great. On unboxing the mic, I connected it directly to my laptop. It was detected in no time and I started using Discord. My friends said my voice is sounding way better than my old headphones. I also noticed; I have to keep this mic very close to my mouth to capture the best output quality. Background noise is low even when I have my room fan on. I don’t think you can find any mic with this quality at such a low price. I love it!

The TC30 USB microphone is a game-changer for my recordings. It’s so easy to use with its plug-and-play USB 2.0 – no extra drivers needed. The cardioid pickup pattern captured my voice crisply while blocking out a good amount of background noise. Installing it was easy, just attach the pop filter to the tripod and you’re set. The shock mount works fine by reducing unwanted vibrations caused by keyboard typing or mouse movements on the table. The package includes everything – microphone, shock mount, tripod, pop filter, and a USB-C to USB-A cable.

    Pros:

Effortless Setup: No drivers needed, just plug and play.

Superb Sound Quality: Cardioid pattern and noise suppression work wonders.

Complete Package: Comes with all essential accessories.

    Cons:

Limited Compatibility: Not compatible with phones or Xbox.

Tablet Adapter Needed: Required for iPad compatibility.

Compared to similar-priced options, TC30 stands out with its ease of use and exceptional sound quality. Its entire package makes it a great value, but those seeking phone or Xbox compatibility might need to explore alternatives

I had one of these previously, it was unfortunately stolen during a robbery at my previous home. I have just since now gotten around to getting a new one. I’d forgotten how good it was so thought it was time to leave it a review it deserves.

For the record however, this mic is vastly improved when going into your mic settings in windows and setting it to a value lower than 60%. This vastly improves the overall audio quality and seems to cut the interference. I’m not audio engineer so I’m not sure why this is, but it does work.

I use the mic for recording vocals and micing and amp for recording guitar. For this purpose is works very well, provided you have some knowledge about how to correctly mic an amp. Some time spent on Google or YouTube will help you out there. This mic works very well with both audacity, and ableton. Audacity recognises the mic immediately and recording is simple and quick, with Ableton you need to tell it and set it up with drivers etc. Again. Google or YouTube is your friend here however I don’t feel as though it would take more than 5 minutes to figure it out yourself if you are familiar with ableton.

The mic itself has a great build quality, with the small stand and filter that come with it feeling very high quality for the price point. I did not have any quality issues with my previous one after having and using it for over a year. I don’t forsee any issues arising with this one either. It being USB-C is a nice bonus for beginners who may not want to shell out for a scarlet and a midi microphone, cable etc.

I know some people are probably looking at this for use with streaming. I don’t see why it wouldnt be a great choice for that, but you might consider the fact that you will likely need to buy an arm mount to hold it for you as the tripod is small and will likely take up valuable desk space.

If you’re still wondering if you want this, I’d say you can’t go wrong.

¡No te decepcionará!

I recently purchased the TONOR USB Cardioid Condenser Microphone for my home recording setup, and the results have been astonishing. Right out of the box, the microphone feels solid and well-built. The setup was a breeze, with plug-and-play simplicity that had me up and recording in no time.

The sound quality is excellent with a clear, crisp output that is a significant upgrade over my previous microphone. The cardioid pickup pattern does a fantastic job of isolating the main sound source and minimizing background noise, which is crucial for my podcast recordings.

The included tripod stand, pop filter, and shock mount are valuable additions that enhance the overall recording experience. The pop filter effectively reduces plosive sounds, while the shock mount minimizes vibrations and handling noise. The tripod stand, though compact, provides a sturdy base for the microphone.

I appreciate the adjustable angle of the microphone on the stand, allowing me to position it for optimal sound capture. The lengthy USB cable is also a nice touch, offering flexibility in positioning the microphone relative to my computer.

Moreover, the microphone’s aesthetic is sleek and professional, adding a level of sophistication to my desktop setup.

In terms of value for money, the TONOR USB Cardioid Condenser Microphone is hard to beat. It provides a professional-level audio recording experience at a fraction of the cost of other high-end microphones. It’s a fantastic choice for podcasters, streamers, or anyone in need of high-quality audio recording on a budget. I highly recommend giving this microphone a try; the audio quality and the included accessories make it a steal for the price!
